High school holds inter-tribe gala
FOURWAYS - Fourways High School held their inter-tribe swimming gala on 15 January.
The school has four tribes which compete in various sporting, academic and cultural activities. The swimming gala’s four tribes comprise Ignus, Terra, Ventus and Aqua. The tribes compete against each other to establish a tribe spirit winner as well as a winner of the overall swimming gala.
The category winners included:
- Junior victrix ludorum: Tarryn Campbell
- Junior victor ludorum: Tristan Nel
- Senior victrix ludorum: Tylor Andrew
- Senior victor ludorum: Ross Hartigan.
The leading tribe spirit trophy winners were Ignus, receiving 743 points. In second place was Ventus with 694 points, third place was Terra with 688 points and in fourth place was Aqua with 612 points.
