New social hub in Braamfontein

BRAAMFONTEIN - The Orion Group, adds two more establishments to Johannesburg.

Johannesburg is internationally known for its ability to appeal to just about anyone and the key to achieving this is giving people different choices when it comes to eating out and things to do.

Thanks to the Orion Group, two more establishments were added to Johannesburg’s offerings including Pub 34 and Devonshire Arms, both which officially opened their doors on 1 September.

Based at the Devonshire Hotel, Orion’s new establishments will add to the booming Braamfontein upliftment precinct.

Pub 34 is a laid-back drinks and food bar which boasts unique cuisine inspired by the famous American diner and sporting a local flavour. The Devonshire Arms is an English pub-styled establishment which offers superb beverages and live entertainment. The two distinctly different venues, just three metres apart, situated at one of Johannesburg’s most iconic hotels is set to be the perfect match.

The concepts of the establishments, spearheaded by Orion Group chief executive officer, Frans Gmeiner, started off as a need for something unique. After much research, menus were drawn up and the rest is history.

Gmeiner stated that the latest offerings would cater for people from all corners of the globe.

“At Orion, we have been known to think differently; out the box if you will. Our passion for people and service has allowed us to try different strategies and cater for the market at large. Pub 34 and Devonshire Arms are fun and exciting projects that we have been working hard on and we cannot wait to share them with everyone. Braamfontein is a hub for all sorts of activities and to add to this is really a great opportunity for us,” Gmeiner said.
