City Power e-services experiences outages

JOBURG – City Power of Joburg said their website experienced some problems over the weekend with customers struggling to log in.

Customers using City Power of Joburg online services experienced some problems on the website during the weekend (9 to 10 November) as their internet service provider connection had limited services.

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck shared on Facebook after the computer breach on the City Power website, that it was still affecting their website as it caused a delay in sending out November’s municipal statements. Truluck wrote on 9 November, “The call centre is still not working and the customer walk-in centres systems are up and down.”

City Power posted on their Twitter page the next day (10 November) that they were aware of website connectivity problems, adding that their IT department was working on getting the website back up and running.

The problem has now been resolved – the website’s e-services are working and the fault logging tool is accessible again.

City Power customers can access the e-services website by logging into eservices.joburg.org.za
