HOUGHTON – Ydhan Naidoo was awarded the Game Changer of our Time award for his leadership qualities and passion for helping others.

St John’s College learner Ydhan Naidoo was recently presented with the Game Changer of our Time award at a recent Afrika Tikkun gala dinner.

He is also a committed Afrika Tikkun Junior Board Member holding the position of secretary. He is recognised for his ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds and is deeply committed to Afrika Tikkun’s mission to alleviate child poverty and support youth empowerment.

His initiatives involved raising funds for a van the organisation needed to support community projects in Orange Farm. Earlier this year, Ydhan hosted a financial literacy and entrepreneurship development workshop for school-going children between the ages of seven and 18. He will soon host the first stand-alone Afrika Tikkun History Quiz and Debate Competition.
