The Parks participate in seventh game for the year

PARKHURST – A relatively new group of netball players called The Parks played their seventh netball game for this year.

A friendly match took place between The Parks and Zoo Lake netball teams at Parkhurst Primary School.

Since both teams had a blue kit, they differentiated themselves by giving Zoo Lake maroon bibs while The Parks got blue bibs.

The Parks team member, Grace Matoni said Zoo Lake had hosted a game in April, therefore, this time was The Parks’ turn to host a game.

“The game was well played considering that the ladies are still new to this. I have seen improvement in every game they play,” Matoni said.

She added that The Parks team was made up of much older players compared to Zoo Lake which has high school learners playing for the team.

The game ended with Zoo Lake winning 15–11.

Matoni added that the team would appreciate the support from the community through donations towards buying kit as they currently have to buy their own.
