Future doctor begins first course

ROSEBANK – An aspiring medic from St Teresa's School has been selected to embark on a programme to enhance her future career even further.


A Grade 11 learner from St Teresa’s School, in Rosebank, has been selected for the Apprentice Doctor Programme.

Cameron Glover, who wants to study medicine, later on, sees this as a wonderful opportunity for her.

The programme is offered to all aspiring medical professionals in Grade 10 to 12 and is held at the Future Doctors Academy in Alberton.

The Apprentice Doctor® Future Doctors Foundation Course is a four-day course of packed medical tuition, variety of medical and surgical workshops, the use of the apprentice Doctor® medical simulation lab, mannequins as well as other professional medical instruments and items. Students will do the internationally recognised American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support, certified course (AHA-BLS) as part of the Apprentice Doctor Programme.
