HOUGHTON – Boy schools from across the country flocked to Houghton to play action-packed rugby.
The second day of the St John’s College Easter Sports Festival (20 April) brought sporting fans from across the country to Joburg in order to catch action-packed sports festival.
Every year the St Johns’ College Easter Rugby Festival in Houghton has delighted sports enthusiasts, the 24th edition has been no different.
Caxton Local Media Joburg North team managed to catch two games; St Benedicts prep from Bedfordview vs Pridwin prep from Melrose at 8.30am with a much more experienced match between St David’s Marist Inanda from Sandton vs Lions at 8.15am

Although seemingly a tough game, Lions beat St David’s Marist Inanda, 19 – 12.
There was a lot of excitement and promising talent during the preparatory games.
Pridwin won the game against St Benedicts 45 – 5.
