Grade 7 learners from Pridwin Preparatory School recently participated in the Inter-Schools Robotics Olympiad alongside 10 other schools.
The friendly event paired boys from Pridwin with boys from a number of other schools.
The 10 participating boys from Pridwin included: Botaki Mofana, Guy Glossoti, Stuart Neilson, Tyler Sacco, Thomas Warren, Yamiko Hassam, Moeletsi Moletsane, Atang Phahlamohlaka, Azhar Mohamed and Shaun Curry.
There were two rounds in the competition. In the first round, Thomas Warren’s team and Guy Glossoti’s team were two of the three winning teams.
In the second round, Yamiko’s and Stuart’s teams were both one block short of a perfect score. Yamiko’s and Azhar’s teams received prizes for excellent collaboration.
The 10 participating schools included: St Peter’s Girls Prep, St Stithians Boys Prep, Reddam House Bedfordview, Redhill, Bellavista, Edu Inc, The Ridge, St Mary’s, Crawford Fourways and Pridwin Prep.
