A camera donation makes Jabulani happy

Immaculata Shelter, Rosebank, Jabulani Mazibuko, Eastrand, Charity Fusion, Angela Hausler, Tom Gardner, photography course

Immaculata Shelter in Rosebank has given one of their own a picture-perfect start to the new year.

Jabulani Mazibuko who is from the East Rand but stays at the shelter during the week, was offered a place to participate in a photography course but needed a camera.

The donations coordinator at the shelter, Angela Hausler said, “Through Charity Fusion and the Immaculata Shelter, a camera was found to enable Jabulani to take advantage of this amazing offer.”

The camera was donated by Tom Gardner to help Mazibuko on his way to a new career. “Mama Angela has been helping me throughout the time I have been coming to the shelter. Thanks to the shelter for supporting everyone who’s homeless and for making us a family,” said Mazibuko.

He added that he would start the two-year photography course soon and already had credits for some work done.

The Immaculata Shelter is situated on the corner of Jellicoe and Sturdee avenues in Rosebank
