Parktown High School for Girls achieves 100 per cent pass for the 5th year running

PARKVIEW – The class of 214 girls achieved 448 distinctions.

 

Matrics and teachers at Parktown High School for Girls were ecstatic with the results of the class of 2018 released on 4 January.

They received a 100 per cent pass rate for the 5th year running and 448 distinctions from their class of 214 students. The matrics also achieved a 97.7 per cent bachelor degree pass.

Four of their learners including Asha Hodge, Tasneem Kharva, Salma Jawoodeen and Sharon Osei-Sekyere received eight distinctions. Twelve learners achieved seven distinctions, five achieved six distinctions and 14 achieved five distinctions.

Tasneem Kharva achieved eight distinctions.
Salma Jawoodeen achieved eight distinctions.
Sharon Osei-Sekyere achieved eight distinctions.
Asha Hodge achieved eight distinctions.

Headmistress Tracey Megom said, “These results are fantastic. All our girls have a good step up to the next level, with an average of 2.09 distinctions per candidate. Most subject averages were also above 70 per cent, which is excellent. It was the combined effort of the girls and their teachers that achieved these results.”
