Community tests its general knowledge at Pug Quiz in aid of the Sandton SPCA

PARKTOWN NORTH – Young and old take part in a quiz to support the Sandton SPCA.

Community members rallied behind the Sandton SPCA on 28 September as they competed in the monthly Pug Quiz hosted at Full Stop Café in Parktown North.

Marketing manager for the Sandton SPCA Jean-Pierre van Wyk explained that the fun-filled community event takes place on the last Friday of every month.

“Each of these Pug Quiz events raises about R8 000, which can go a long way to assisting our SPCA, which needs R600 000 per month to cover overhead costs,” said Van Wyk.

“Instead of asking for donations to keep going in these tough financial times, we are giving the community an evening of fun to enjoy,” he added.

Teams answered a number of general knowledge questions on the night in an effort to win the coveted trophy.
