Not to miss: Silkworm showing for one night only

PARKVIEW – A weekend day with a dose of theatre storytelling is what Parkview residents and neighbourhoods can diarise.

Theatre enthusiasts can look forward to a treat by Contagious Theatre as they bring their award-winning show to Parkview.

The show, Silkworm, is currently on stage at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown where it has won an Ovation Award.

The story is told to the audience through the eyes of the ‘gregarious and socially-awkward’ Georgina who is about to have the single most important day of her life. The show makes extensive use of storytelling and clowning techniques borrowed from Italy’s Helikos School of Theatre Creation, adding a spoonful of humour and a touch of whimsy.

Date and time: 14 July at 6pm

The show is on for one night only, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Venue: St Francis of Assisi Church – 46 Tyrone Ave, Parkview

Ticket cost: R100 per person, includes tea and coffee
