Over 100 suspects arrested in Johannesburg East Cluster

PARKVIEW – The suspects are arrested for various crimes including assault and drug possession.

Johannesburg East Cluster police, including Rosebank and Parkview police stations, celebrated the arrest of more than 100 suspects from 23 to 29 October.

Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, the spokesperson for Parkview Police Station, said officers arrested the suspects while patrolling in their precincts.

The crimes range from trespassing, driving without a license, murder and kidnapping, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, common assault, theft and armed robbery. Malicious damage to property and possession of drugs also ranked high in the number of arrests recorded.

“Some of the suspects have already appeared in court while others will appear in court soon. Police will continue arresting those caught on the wrong side of law and investigation on those arrested is continuing,” concluded Sibeko.
