Designers come together to Change our World for Good
HYDE PARK – An Ark pop-up kiosk at Hyde Park Corner's centre court will donate all proceeds to the Change the World for Good Schools Programme.
Change Our World for Good and Hyde Park Corner are promoting goodness and kindness with an Ark pop-up kiosk that can be seen in the centre court at Hyde Park Corner.
The kiosk is filled with items that encourage the user and those around them to be kind. Items for sale include lunch boxes which encourage the user to share their lunch with someone needy. All proceeds made from the sale of the items at the Ark kiosk go towards the Change our World for Good schools programme which provides school children throughout South Africa with their own reading book and an Ark charity box.

The kiosk also features women’s and children’s T-shirts that have beautifully designed kindness sayings on them. Change our World for Good held a Facebook competition asking young designers to send in designs that feature slogans or sayings encouraging kindness. Designs were chosen and printed on T-shirts that are now being sold at the Kindness kiosk.
The lessons to be learnt are that one individual has the power to make a difference, and that small acts of goodness and kindness can change, not only their own attitude but make a real difference in the lives of others.
Hyde Park Corner and Change our World for Good have also placed a collection bin at the centre court and urge shoppers to please purchase stationery and nonperishable food to place inside the collection bin.
These items will then be donated to Umtholo Primary School in Katlehong, Ikusasalethu Primary School in Vosloorus and Lesedi Primary School is Shoshanguve.

Ark is a fully comprehensive programme that has been devised for school children all the way through to senior citizens, with the aim of getting the entire world to increase acts of goodness and kindness; Ark is the acronym for Acts of Random Kindness.
