Rosebank police arrest two suspects following sting operation

ROSEBANK – Rosebank police conducted a sting operation following numerous complaints about drug activity in Rosebank.

 

Rosebank Police Station successfully conducted a sting operation on 14 July following numerous complaints about drug activity on Keyes Avenue in Rosebank.

Residents and business owners have filed numerous complaints about people selling drugs in Rosebank and the police conducted several operations to ensure the problem was tackled.

Bongi Mdeltshe, spokesperson for Rosebank Police Station said, “A string operation took place with the assistance of crime intelligence and has led to the arrest of two suspects who offered one of our guys a huge amount of dagga and nyaope.

“It has been a problem for quite some time and we have tried to make sure that we move this away.”

He added that this drug bust is one of many that Rosebank police are planning to conduct.

Mdletshe also requested that anyone who knows of a criminal activity to go to the Rosebank police Crime Intelligence Unit to report it. “One can remain anonymous, one can give us this information without giving us their names. We need to make sure that the people who see these activities taking place give us this information.
