Parkhurst resident desperately searches for lost photo album

PARKHURST – Richard McCormack is desperately searching for 50-year-old photo album filled with his honeymoon photos.

A Parkhurst resident is desperately searching for a lost photo album after he accidentally left it on the boot of his car and drove off.

The album contains black and white photos from his honeymoon with his wife 51 years ago, as well as the first photograph of his son.

On 29 March at about 3pm, Richard McCormack placed the photo album on the boot of his car. McCormack then travelled from his home on 15th Street, Parkhurst, turned right onto 5th Avenue and then right onto 20th Street.

He then proceeded to turn left onto 1st Avenue West until it became Clarence Avenue and then Cambridge Avenue. He then turned right onto Westminster Road before making a U-turn at Jan Smuts Avenue and travelled home.

McCormack only noticed the grey album, which is 22cm long and 20cm wide, was lost when he returned home. McCormack retraced his route in the hopes of finding it and also asked around at local shops and cafes but has, so far, been unsuccessful.

Details: If you have found McCormack’s photo album, contact him on 082 900 3091.
