Parkview police see justice served

PARKVIEW – Three suspects have been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment.

 

The hard work of Captain Menzi Miya of Parkview Police Station paid off after three suspects were convicted in Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court for housebreaking and robbery.

“He investigated the case for a year and managed to get three suspects a conviction of 10 years’ imprisonment with a five-year suspended sentenced on condition that they do not commit a similar offence,” said Sergeant Iris Phoko, head of Social Crime Prevention at the station.

She added that the three men committed the offence early last year when they forced open a gate of a house in the Parkview policing precinct and held up a domestic worker.
