Classic fun at Zoo Lake
PARKVIEW – Classic cars, classic tunes and classic, wholesome family fun.
This was the order of the day at Zoo Lake when dairy company, Clover, hosted The Classic Day.
Children of all ages, shapes and sizes (including adults) were spoilt for choice when it came to entertainment as multi-talented entertainers and brothers, Jason and Donovan Goliath, of Goliath and Goliath fame, kept the crowd giggling and jiggling.
The highlight of the day was a selection of 25 classic cars lined up on the park grounds which caused many a spectator to go ‘ooh’ and ‘ah’ as they gleamed in the summer sun. Other fun items on the itinerary included face painting, bungee trampolines, roundabout swings and stalls selling classic delicacies such as ice-cream, candyfloss and popcorn.
Bands playing at the event included Watershed and Jamboree, while DJ Barney Simon also made an appearance, spinning tunes with the likes of DJ Cuebur, DJ Game and Marc Young.
