Penny Steyn will be hosting meetings in set dates throughout the suburbs and the theme will also cover the topic of cable theft and will include safety tips related power outages.
Steyn will be inviting several guest speakers and experts to share with and educate participants.
Workshops this month will have input from Amahlo Consulting, Community Action Network (Can anti-crime partnership) and Eskom.
They include Caroline Mulumbu, information centre manager of Can; Phumudzo Manenzhe, Can manager and SABC analyst; Stan Ntombela, community liason officer; and Dr Kim Lamont, Can director and research analysis manager.
Domestic Watch workshops have been scheduled for the following suburbs in the Rosebank Killarney Gazette’s distribution area:

24 February: 10am at the Rosebank Union Church, corner of Sandton and William Nicol drives
24 February: 12pm at the the War Museum, Eastwold Way in Saxonwold
25 February: 10am at the Emmarentia Sailing Club, Low Geldenhuys Drive
25 February: 12pm at the Methodist Church, 7th Avenue in Parktown North
27 February: 10am at St Columba’s Church, Lurgan Road in Parkvie.
27 February: 12pm at Wesleyan Church, corner of Beaumont and Norfolk avenues in Craighall Park.
