Rosebank library appeals for books

ROSEBANK - AT THIS time of the year, people are clearing their bookshelves to make room for all their anticipated Christmas gifts.

Instead of throwing the old books away, they can take them to the Rosebank Library for its book sale. With the money raised from the sale, Friends of the Rosebank Library buy new books for the library. This way, all library users get to share each others’ Christmas gifts.

Books can be dropped at the library any time during normal library hours from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 1pm each Friday and Saturday.

The librarian selects the books that can go onto the shelves, and the Friends get the balance to sell. The books donated to the library are enjoyed by members of the Friends book club as well as all library users.

The next book club meeting is on 4 December at 2.30 pm, and all are welcome.

The next book sale is on 27 November from 9am to 4pm.

Both events are at the Rosebank Public Library at 6 Keyes Avenue in Rosebank.
