New electric Fiat 500 receives five-star Green NCAP rating

Fiat reports that its new electric Fiat 500 has been awarded a five-star Green NCAP rating.

“It is the first Fiat 500 car to achieve 10/10 in the Green NCAP Energy Efficiency Index,” said Fiat.

“The New 500 is an iconic car with a mission: to offer accessible electric mobility in the city, because ‘it’s only green if it’s green for all’. This forms part of the Fiat DNA, sustainable mobility to ensure a better future for the next generation.”

This Fiat offers 320km (WLTP cycle) with its 42kWh lithium-ion batteries, and boasts an 85kW fast charger, that only requires five minutes to charge up enough to travel 48km. An 80% charge is achieved in 35 minutes. Top speed is about 150km/h.
