The talented Gabrielle De Gama will be hosting a Talent Show for the youth of the West Rand to showcase their singing, acting and dancing talents on 6 March at Radford High School in Fairlands.
The event will provide a platform for talented youth who wish to be noticed for their special talents to take the stage.
The Talent Show will serve as a fundraiser for Gabrielle’s trip to Los Angeles and New York later this year.
In July the young shining star will be jetting off to the US as she was awarded a scholarship to attend the New York Film Academy’s (NYFA) summer camp in Los Angeles, where she will be learning acting, film and musical theatre.
She will then head to New York to perform in front of 300 agents at the International Model and Talent Show (IMTA).
The NYFA is considered by many to be the leader in the film and entertainment industry for its practical and direct approach to training the next generations of actors, producers, directors and filmmakers.
For these reasons Just You Model and Artist Management has aligned with the NYFA as their exclusive representative in South Africa.
Gabrielle said, “I want to appeal to the youth of the West Rand to come out and support me as I will also be performing with some up-and-coming youth who will be showing off their talents”.
Talent scouts and the media will be present at the event, and there will be prizes ranging from a talent scout contract, photo shoot and a NYFA workshop.
“I am hoping that this event will impress some of the talent scouts that will be attending, like Elsubie Verlinden from 33 and Me Talent Agency, the NYFA, and June Krause Academy,” said Gabrielle.
Entry fee for the event is R100, additional entry is R25, spectator fee is R50, and for children under the age of 12 it is R25.
