Goofey wants to be The Greatest

“I’ve lost too much to quit now," he said.

Upcoming rapper Sekgosana Jabulani, who goes by the stage name, GoofeyTheGreatest, is adamant to be one of the all-time greats in the hip-hop music scene.

The 27-year-old, who was born in the Vaal but raised in Zandspruit, has been pursuing music for a while after discovering his ability to pen down lyrics.

The journey hasn’t been very smooth for this youngster as it has led him to suffer from depression. However, he now thanks his current record stable for assisting him when he was under a dark cloud.

“I’ve lost too much to quit now,” he said. “I have to thank the Legacy Entertainment label that discovered me and started hyping my music,” he said.

He managed to find his feet with the label as he worked with like-minded artists such as Willy May, Tebzurboy, Kass, S.I.Z, Jus Collen and Glory, all from Cosmo City.

“These brothers took me in when I was suffering from anxiety and depression, after realising I was a danger to myself,” he explained.

He said his relationships with these artists gave birth to more relationships with credible artists such as Spooky Flex, DJ Ozzie, Nate Africa and KgXI, who understood his hustle and gave him a shot at performing at various gigs.

He added that those opportunities bolster his confidence to propel his career. “Now I’m working on my debut EP called ADHELIA to be released on 2 April,” he announced.

Lastly, he thanked his number-one fan, his mother, Bella Nqayi, for keeping him focused and allowing him to chase his dream.
