Word of the day

The word of the day for 28 November is: Ambition.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines ‘ambition’ as a strong desire to do or achieve something.

We need ambition to have goals, but we need to be persistent in our efforts to achieve them.

Bill Bradley said, “Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.”

We cannot expect to achieve something if we do not have the ambition to put goals in place and the persistence to achieve them.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said that the prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it because without ambition, a person starts nothing and without work, a person finishes nothing.

You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don’t have ambition, you will never achieve anything.

Salvador Dali said, “Intelligence without ambition is like a bird without wings”.

You will never progress if you are not willing to try or have nothing to work towards.

Heraclitus said, “Big results require big ambitions”.
