Sandton offers an incredible wealth of opportunities, but before running off and listing your property for sale in Roodepoort, you should check out the prices you could expect to pay to get your own space in this prime area.

Home to a number of South Africa’s elite businesses, Sandton has become home to a number of the country’s wealthiest people and, as such, it boasts some incredible homes. In fact, the prestigious suburb of Sandhurst recently saw a property listed for a cool R150 million, which is an amount that will make many eyes water. Although Sandhurst is out of the reach of many, there are a number of other suburbs to consider.

Bryanston

For many years, this suburb has been one of the most popular options for families. Boasting a strong community, a convenient location and a number of top amenities, Bryanston tops the list of many looking to settle in Sandton. A house in Bryanston does not come cheap, with the average price being just short of R6 million.

Rivonia

One of the most famous suburbs in Sandton, this area is a commercial hub which also offers some incredible security villages. It is easily accessible and has a range of amenities to choose from.

Rivonia’s average house price is slightly more reasonable, with around R4 million being enough to get you a home here.

Woodmead

Property here is fairly sought-after, due to the fact that many residents have held onto their homes here for a long time. Woodmead has excellent infrastructure and is close to a number of major nodes. Staying in Woodmead is likely to cost you around R4.2 million for a house, while flats here are significantly cheaper at an average cost of R1.5 million.
