Finding it difficult to entertain the children when it’s grey and raining outside?
Here are a few fun, creative and cheap ways to keep dry and enjoy your weekend.
1) Board games: This is a great time to dust off the box lids of your favourite game whether it is Monopoly or Snakes and Ladders. It is bound to give you a few hours of great fun.
2) Home-made play dough: This is easy to make and fun to play with. Simply mix together flour, salt , a dash of oil and water with a food dye of your choice. It is child-friendly and you can make some interesting Christmas gifts.
3) Movies, movies, movies: A rainy day is the perfect time to marathon watch all your favourite movies.
4) Indoor jungle gym: Children love being able to jump from a pillow to a chair (safely) and collapse onto the bed or a pile of clothes. An indoor jungle gym is a great way to get rid of some built up energy and it can be turned into a reading fort at night time.
5) Have a family picnic: get some of your favourite snacks together like cheese, cocktail sausages and juice to enjoy in your living room. Transform your lounge into a garden heaven, indoors!
