It’s a beautiful country

Last weekend, we visited my parents in Nelspruit and since ‘Your Highness’ (my fiancé) doesn’t know the area, we took a one-day tour.

We visited the Sudwala Caves, about 30km outside Nelspruit. Did you know that a stalactite grows a mere 2,5cm in a hundred years? The caves are very interesting and magical, especially the Fairytale Chamber. Brightly coloured lighting lit up the cave and although the water was only five centimetres deep, it looked much deeper.

After our cave visit, we had a fish spa – those little fish that chew all the dead skin off your feet. It felt a bit creepy in the beginning, but it was so relaxing.

We then took a drive to Lydenburg, my old home town and then went on to Ohrigstad, returning home through Sabie and Pilgrim’s Rest.

Although it was very dry and humid, the area is still one of the most beautiful places on Earth. My favourite will always be the Tzaneen area.

Anyway, I feel refreshed and eager to round up this year – there are only eight weeks left before Christmas!

Take some time this holiday and explore our beautiful country. There really is a lot to see.

Until next week, take care of one another.

Ciao
