Some more rainfall expected

Weather experts predicting more rain during this week

Many residents of Roodepoort and the surrounding areas were gently carried off to sleep by the sound of raindrops pattering on the roof on the night of 18 October.

Everyone living in Gauteng has been praying for rain to alleviate the drought-like conditions experienced over the past few months. The unseasonably hot temperatures, coupled with little to no rain, have many parts of Gauteng on the brink of a water crisis.

Needless to say, with the first raindrops falling from the sky on the evening of 18 October, few residents grabbed their umbrellas. Instead, many were thinking of dancing in the rain to express their joy.

And there is more good news. While some areas have recorded some rainfall already, according to Accuweather, residents can expect more rainfall during the course of today as well as throughout the rest of the week and during the weekend.
