Easter weekend is here, much to the delight of many, as trips are planned and Easter egg hunts are the order of the day. Even though Joburg becomes quiet over this period, there are still many activities to keep you happy and entertained. There are plenty of kid-friendly events for parents with little ones and also for the bachelors and bachelorettes who wish to party the weekend away.

Bonfire Hearts

Easter Sports Festival

St Stithians College celebrates its annual Easter Sports Festival. In its 33rd year, St Stithians will welcome over 1 000 players to participate in over 200 fixtures in seven different sporting disciplines.

Rand Easter Show

The Rand Easter Show is back again and this year show-goers can expect to be inspired. There will be a food theatre where visitors can eat tantalising cuisine and will be treated to appearances from famous chefs. The science and technology laboratory will offer both young and old the thrill of invention, robotics and astronomy. The man cave will offer men a sanctuary where they can check out a number of gadgets, tools, big screens, surround-sound systems and whiskey tasting, while the ladies keep up with the latest in fashion trends from local designers and international brands. The kids will have an absolute blast riding thrilling rides at the fun fair.

Easter Bunny at the Wanderers Club

Looking for something fun for the whole family to do on Easter Sunday? Then join the Easter Bunny at the Wanderers Club for a day filled with fun. There will be an Easter egg hunt, an Easter parade, a jumping castle and a jungle gym to keep the little ones busy. Parents can treat themselves to a fantastic selection of fine wines, delicious foods and a wide variety of craft beers as well as live music.
