Heel to heal through sisters with blisters

BORDEAUX – Sisters with Blisters proceeds will go to Women and Men Against Child Abuse.

Women and Men Against Child Abuse (WMACA), announced that they will once again be the beneficiaries of the 1st for Women Sisters with Blisters with Jacaranda FM protest walk on 21 November.

The Bordeaux organisation’s administrative services manager, Tania Otto, said, “We at WMACA believe that if boys are made aware of respect for others from a young age, and if men are positive role models, we stand a chance of making a difference for abused women and children,” said Otto

The funding received from this event is put toward the operational costs of WMACA’s Kidz Clinics.

Robyn Farrell, executive head of 1st for Women Insurance, said that they hope that through Sisters with Blisters they can inspire those affected by gender-based violence to seek help.

“We want to give women the confidence to change their lives for the better,” said Farrell.

Kevin Fine, general manager of Jacaranda FM said Sisters with Blisters is about creating awareness regarding a serious social issue.

“It gives men, woman and children the courage to speak out, be heard and change their situation positively,” said Fine.

Otto said that the organisation provides comprehensive victim empowerment therapeutic services.

“We also provide preventative work free of charge to the vulnerable children and the communities we serve,” concluded Otto
