There are less than three months left before the mad rush to buy Christmas presents. Can you believe the year is almost a memory?

Vacation spots and itineraries are being discussed and planned and people are saving up for the various festivities that are taking place.

My plans are also in place and I cannot wait to leave the concrete jungle.

I also realised there are only another 11 editions of the Roodepoort Record before we close. What shocked me the most is realising it has been a year that I have been back. Time flies when you are having fun I suppose.

While there are still enough time to prepare for you holiday, please keep in mind that your pets need to be taken care off. Your car needs a good service before you leave and you have to ensure your house is secured. Apparently thieves like to do home shopping, especially if no one is around to deter them.

Also, while you spend your Christmas bonus on gifts for the children, please buy a can or two of dog and cat food and deliver it at either to the Roodepoort SPCA, Claw or Fora before you leave on holiday. They will greatly appreciate it and I know for a fact the animals will love you for that small but significant gesture.

In the meantime, enjoy the last few weeks of 2015 and make the most of it.

By the way, did anyone see the blood moon over the weekend? If you did, please send me a picture or two. I missed it and would love to see.

Take care of one another, until next week.
Ciao
