Spring is in the air

Spring is in the air, well, almost because there is still a nippy wind blowing, but I think we can safely say that the worst of cold days are over.

I love the season. The birds are singing, the grass is greening and flowers start to bloom. It certainly is a beautiful sight.

The Record has posted photographs taken by a reader at Florida Lake earlier this month to show how she views this season. I hope you have all had a look. Now that I don’t have to worry about winter fat anymore, I now have spring rolls, it is time to get my takkies out of the closet and take my doggie for a walk. I definitely want to get more active this season.

I was thinking of getting into shape, but then I realised, round is a shape, isn’t it? But before I get too inspired, please take pictures of the first flowers in your garden, what you saw on your early morning or evening walks and send it to us, we would love to see how spring is beautifying the area.
