Clive does not live here

BORDEAUX – Clive Naidoo gives false address to JMPD officer.

Clive Naidoo shared a video on Facebook depicting an argument with a JMPD officer on 28 August on the corner of Bram Fischer Drive and Jan Smuts Avenue.

The video shows the JMPD female officer insulting and mocking Naidoo, after he said he pays the JMPD officer’s salary.

Despite being aware of the incident being recorded, the JMPD officer proceeded to issue Naidoo with a fine, after he had allegedly skipped a red robot.

JMPD Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar commented, “Motorists should not engage in an argument with a JMPD officer when getting a fine. They should accept the fine and thereafter apply for cancellation of the traffic fine.”

Days have gone by since Naidoo posted the video that has since gone viral.

In the previous article he said, “I apologise for my actions and I accept responsibility for what I said during the incident.”

Naidoo not only gave his personal cellphone number on the video but his residential address as well.

Numerous media and law officials visited such address in Bloubosrand, and his residence could not be confirmed.

Jocelyn Govender has since come forward on the social platform Twitter.

In her tweet to City of Joburg she said, “@CityofJoburgZA I live at the address in the video and your head Wayne Minnaar came looking for Clive. We do not have his details.”

Then in another Tweet Govender said, “PLS STOP COMING TO MY HOUSE! We do not know where #CliveNaidoo is or have alternative numbers for him. Inform your JMPD @CityofJoburgZA.”

As the above suggested the address details he gave the officer were false.

Supt Minnaar further added,“If a JMPD officer misbehaves then a formal complaint can be lodged at the JMPD Internal Affairs Unit for the incident and for the officer’s misbehaviour to be investigated.”

The viral fame of this video has reached a new height by the introduction of a ‘Clive Naidoo from Bloubosrand’  Facebook page.
