The award winning Mafikizolo to perform in their hometown at Silverstar

MULDERSDRIFT – Celebrated duo Mafikizolo will bring their 60s inspired afro-jazz and contemporary soul beats to what promises to be a revitaliser of a show.

On the 5th of June, Mafikizolo, one of South Africa’s hottest musical groups, is performing at Silverstar Casino in Mulderdrift. The show, named HomeComing – Our Story, promises to show fans a magical journey of the popular bands’ lives and the evolution of their music.

Mafikizolo is an African band that got its start in the 90’s. The act was founded by Theo Kgosinkwe, Nhlanhla Nciza and the late Tebogo Madingoane. They signed a record deal in 1996 with recording label Kalawa Jazmee and today they boast multiple awards within the music industry both in South Africa and internationally.

“We are extremely excited to be hosting the popular duo at Silverstar. With the newly renovated square and the addition of the Globe, Silverstar has upped their game with a variety of entertainment for the whole family. This show is one you don’t want to miss,” said Shane Collinson, director of operations and complex general manager at Silverstar.

The audience can expect to be entertained by the amazing vocals of these top musicians as well as a narrator, Meshack Mavuso to tell the story of Mafikizolo’s HomeComing – Our Story. Also, for the first time in almost two decades, Mafikizolo have invited special guest Wanda Baloyi to feature alongside them as they share their journey.

This show will kick-off at 8pm in The Globe at Silverstar.
