• Antiquated Souls Presents Searching

Searching brings you soul awakening beats that will make you feel alive on 1 May at 4pm at Bullion Bar in Braamfontein.

Antique sounds are known for their magical musical whispers, it would be a sin to deprive yourself of the goodness you know you deserve. • Goldfish Submerged Sundays Finale At Zoo Lake

After a sold out season in Cape Town, the Fishies are heading to Johannsburg on 2 May for a summer send-off that’s not to be missed. Join them on the Zoo Lake lawns for an incredible family day with some of South Africa’s favourite artists. There will be delicious food stalls and 5-a-side footy for the lighties. • Wild West Country Fest

Silverstar will be hosting a four day festival which aims to celebrate the area’s rich mining history of the late 1880’s. The festival, aptly named Wild West Country Fest, will run from 30 April to 3 May and aims to encapsulate this period though offering food from the era, gold panning sites, whiskey tasting, Can Can dancing entertainment and local craft beers. General entry – R 100.00 per person. Your entry fee includes a free beer mug upon arrival. Children between the ages of 5 – 17 – R 50.00 per person. Children under 5 years enter free.

• City Sightseeing Johannesburg 3 for 1 hop on-hop off fun

City Sightseeing Johannesburg & Soweto, the company that runs the iconic red double decker open-topped sightseeing buses through the streets of Joburg has opened their annual 3 for 1 Kids Special where, on weekends, public and school holidays, two kids under the age of 18 can travel for free on the City Sightseeing bus with any paying adult. Kids free on special days and holidays starting from 1 May and running until 15 October, the City Sightseeing Kids Special covers special days such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Youth Day, Women’s Day, Heritage Day, the June/July school holidays as well as the September holidays. Buy one adult ticket and get two kids tickets for free. Adult tickets for the City Sightseeing bus cost R170 .

• World Laughter day

Celebrate world laughter day at Bryanston Naturally Yours Centre on 3 May from 10am until 1pm with a laughter and dance workshop. Have yourself some fun and release and shake off all of your stress and anxiety by using music, movement, dance and you will laugh your head off.

• Park live festival

Marks Park is hosting the next Parklife Festival on 3 May, at 10am. This is the festival that is filled with gourmet food and the best in live entertainment. This year’s festival introduces a stellar music line-up with international alt-rock outfit American Authors, French producer and DJ, Klingande, Prime Circle, Kahn, Jeremy Loops, Modest Mouse as well as others. Picnic baskets are welcome but unfortunately you cannot bring drinks. Tickets are available online from Nutickets for R450.
