Revery is a local band that describes itself as a reflection of what each of us sees and how we can get lost in our dreams.
Band members Hana Muftic (24), Adrian Patterson (24) and Richard Globisch (29) make up Revery.
The name Revery, just as their vision, comes from the concept of being lost in one’s dreams.
They have been together for nearly two and a half years.
The group said, “Integral to the band is that the music written, no matter what genre it might tend toward, it stays sincere and truly reflects the mindset and emotions felt at the time. Whether the song ends up hard and rocking, or slow and emotional, they should be accepted as they are.”
Their music crosses genres much like their writing skills. With a funk rock sound and soul-inspired lyrics they are ready to burst through the South African music scene. They describe their music sound as, “subtly technical, highly energetic, extremely catchy and, above all, revealing and honest.”
