Amateur actors to perform Christmas variety show
ROODEPOORT – Variety show will have you on the edge of your seat.
If you feel a bit run down as the end of the year approaches then Roodepoort Little Theatre (RLT) has a solution for you. RLT chairperson Oriela van der Waltm said that the production company plans to hold a couple of shows that will tickle your funny bone.
“Our ‘Christmas Crackers’ show is a funny variety show where some of our younger and much older actors will be performing. It’s all a surprise, so come and watch the show to see what it’s all about.”
Van der Walt said, “Actors at the Little Theatre are all amateurs, so acting is a passion for each one and this should make the production entertaining to watch.”
She said there will be four shows, each on a different day. “Our first show will start on 5 December, followed by a show on the 6th and one on the 12th, all of these shows will take place at the Roodepoort Basement Theatre at 100 Christiaan de Wet Road and tickets are R80 per person. All three will start at 8pm. The fourth show will take place on 13 December and start at 3pm but tickets for this one will only cost R60 per person.
