The Parlotones postpone winter tour

JOBURG - The lead singer of The Parlotones, Kahn Morbee has cancelled a nationwide tour indefinitely due to damage to his vocal cord.

South Africa’s own rock band The Parlotones cancelled their nationwide tour, following damage to their lead singer Kahn Morbee’s voice.

According to the band’s support act and local Roodepoort singer Justin Serrao, “Morbee needs to go in for surgery to repair his vocal cords and this means that the tour needs to be postponed until his voice recovers.”

Serrao explained that this is not the end of the world, as he will continue with his shows to promote his new album.

“New tour dates will be announced when Morbee is back in action again.”

Gregg Forbes, who deals with the band’s media queries, said that fans will be refunded for tour tickets bought ahead of time.

“I wish Morbee a speedy recovery and hope to be jamming with him again in the near future,” concluded Serrao.
