A resident of Gregor Street had her recovered car delivered to her door, four years after it had been stolen.
According to this resident, the car was stolen by an employee of their maintenance company in Meyerton back then.
They sent the employee to purchase supplies with the car but he never returned.
A case had been opened that same night.
The former employee, who resides in Alexandra was busy stripping the car for spares over the weekend when his policeman neighbour called for backup. The former employee was arrested and the car dropped off at its owner’s new address in Gregor Street.
According to the owner of the vehicle, her insurance wants the car as they already paid out her claim.
