Jazz musician George Sax will be performing at Hard Rock Café in the Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton. Whilst studying fine arts at the University of Witwatersrand he associated himself with highly profiled jazz musicians at some of South Africa’s premier jazz venues such as Bass Line in old Melville and Rumours in the infamous Rockey Street. White Rabbit Concepts and Carfax in Newton present Group Therapy, an event that spans over one night and includes two separate rooms for partying with DJs such as DJ Kenzhero, Blk Jks Soundsystem, The Cutt, Benson, Liver and Moe Joe. Straight out of Slovenia, Red Five Point Star released their third record Worst Case Scenario in 2011 through Megalith Records in USA and through Kapa Records in Europe. The band combines some of the best modern ska techniques, traditional rock ‘n roll, upbeat high octane punk rock and that full big band sound. The band is followed by Fuzigish, The Sunday Punchers and Fridge Poetry. A R60 cover fee is charged at the door. The City of Johannesburg claims back its rightful title of Major Entertainment Capital of South Africa with the 20 Years of Freedom and Democracy concert at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northriding.
