Hot Rocket’s Summer Festival at Rumours Lounge in Weltevreden Park kicks off with an awesome line-up. Don’t miss Jon-Pat Myers (Psykotix), Acoustic Groove Machine, Instrametal, Tinman and 11th Hour at this enticing festival. The doors open at 7pm and entrance costs R40 per person. The festivities continue with Hot Rocket’s Summer Festival at Rumours Lounge in Weltevreden Park. If you’d like to spend a more relaxed New Years Eve, join Elephant & Friends Pub & Grill in Helderkruin for the live sounds of cover band Twisted Twine. Tuesday 31 December
For the partying folks a New Years Eve party at Tanz Live in Blackheath will be much more suitable. Have acts Brent Harris and Thee Jam take you into 2014. While Brent still performs with Just Jinger, he is currently pursuing his solo career and has become a dominant force on the South African music scene as a frontman with a raspy voice and vulnerable tones. Entrance costs R100 per person or R200 per person that will include a light meal (choice of five meals) and a glass of wine, champagne or beer. The show starts at 8pm and booking is essential.
