Going Gooding at Roodepoort Theatre

Malcolm Gooding presents 60s and 70s experiences.

Theatre is making it’s way back to Roodepoort and this time Malcolm Gooding is taking audiences at the Joburg Promusica Theatre back to the late 60s and early 70s.

Through his soothing voice and talent in mimicry he’s able to bring characters to life while delivering humorous punch lines. Going Gooding offers audiences the opportunity to enjoy a good laugh while learning about South African history from a different perspective and with new insight.

According to a press release sent to the Record, Malcolm has made his mark in the country’s history by introducing musical artists such as Led Zeppelin to the youth revolution. In 1995 he also called on former President Nelson Mandela to present the Webb Ellis Trophy to Francois Pienaar.

The show will run between 9 and 25 August at the Roodepoort Theatre (Promusica). Bookings can be made either by phone or at the theatre. Tickets cost R85, and students and pensioners pay R65.
