Casey-Lee aims for the bulls eye

Local King's School learner was selected to represent the Ekurhuleni provincial team in the Africa Genesis Archery competition in Kimberley.

Casey-Lee Adam, a learner from the King’s School West Rand, is among the selected individuals representing the Ekurhuleni Provincial Team at the Africa Genesis Archery South Africa (AGA-SA) tournament currently taking place in Kimberley.

Casey-Lee vigorously claimed a top three position in the Bulls Eye AGA-SA competition and the Gauteng North and Ekurhuleni Provincial archery competitions.

The tournament takes place until September 28 and teams across SA were invited to compete and present their best archery style.

AGA-SA is a prestigious organisation affiliated internationally to allow athletes to enjoy participating in Genesis Archery, known as a non-contact sport in SA.

Based on Casey-Lee’s outstanding performance and meeting the selection criteria, the Ekurhuleni Sports Council will be honouring her with official colours.

“We are incredibly proud of our archers’ achievements and wish them the best of luck at the championship. Their perseverance and skill will undoubtedly bring pride to our community,” said AGA-SA Ekurhuleni co-ordinator Thinus Jacobs.
