Knockout king Baba Yaga’s first win

Rising star MMA fighter delivers an exceptional knockout performance in the EFC 116.

The Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) hosted a thrilling fight night after a much-anticipated waiting period for athletes to be in the cage and channel their inner beast at the EFC Performance Institute in Sandton.

On August 8, Gloves & Grits Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Shadrack Dju Yemba, who is known as “Baba Yaga,” went head-to-head with his opponent Lucky Bosco in an electrifying battle to see who emerges victorious.

As the loud and enthusiastic chants from the crowd were abuzz in the arena, Yemba had one thing on his mind: To leave a mark and let his name be known. The fight got off to a fiery start, with both athletes exchanging blows in the opening round. However, it was Yemba who seized control in Round 2, pinning Bosco to the canvas and unleashing a flurry of punches from back control.

As the fight wore on, Yemba’s dominance became increasingly apparent. His opponent struggled to keep up with the pace, and Yemba seized the opportunity to unleash a flurry of blows. The referee was forced to intervene, stopping the fight via technical knockout as Yemba’s opponent was deemed unable to intelligently defend himself.

The performance left the crowd on the edge of their seats as he showcased his mastery of punches from back control. The victory marked Yemba’s first win in the EFC, solidifying his mark.

“I’m over the moon with my performance. My training paid off, and I’m thrilled to get my first win in the EFC. I’m looking forward to my next challenge and continuing to grow as a fighter,” Yemba said.

Jesse Smith, the head fitness trainer of Gloves & Grit, was overwhelmed with joy for Yemba’s first win.

“All those long hours of training for him have paid off. We are so proud of him, but this is only the beginning, as the world is yet to see what he is capable of,”’ Jesse said.
