Young equestrian dominates in the Youth Champs

Youngster excels in equestrian competition in many disciplines.

Anneshia Kock, a Crawford International Ruimsig Grade 10 learner, dominated in the South African Youth Championships hosted in Shongweni in late June.

The Champs is a national equestrian show which includes multiple disciplines that unite the best youngsters in South Africa; disciplines like showjumping, dressage, showing, equitation and eventing.

The premier event on the equestrian calendar featured 500 horses, 300 grooms, and over 300 riders who competed over five days. Anneshia and her amazing horse Get Lucky, made her mark and participated in showjumping, showing and working hunter events and obtained pleasing results from her outstanding performance.

“We are so proud of her because she truly inspires our learners to believe in their dreams and pursue every opportunity,” said Crawford Marketing Officer Lindsay van Boven.

These are the results she claimed from the competition:

• Junior Novice Show Hack – fourth place
• Junior Novice Show Riding – second place
• Junior Novice Show Hunter – second place
• Junior Novice Show Horse – first place

According to a statement on the Westown Shongweni website, young riders were supported by many families and friends who not only attended the event to watch their young riders but also enjoyed the beautiful weather and extensive programme.

The Crawford family congratulates Anneshia for her incredible achievements, hard work and dedication. The school encourages her to keep shining and inspiring others with her talent and passion.
