Young soccer star shines globally

Motheo Molamu was one of the soccer stars selected to be part of the Manchester Easter Tournament that took place in England.

Discovery Primary School learner Motheo Molamu has achieved a remarkable milestone in the world of soccer after being selected to participate in the prestigious Manchester Football Easter Tournament in April.

Motheo’s love for the game started at the age of three but his passion and dedication have had him soar to greater heights. As the youngest member of the Discovery Primary School U13 team, Motheo’s talent and hard work have earned him this exciting opportunity.

His father, Tshidiso Molamu, recalled that Motheo started playing soccer at six years old and his natural ability was evident from the start.

“As parents, we are incredibly proud and happy to see Motheo showcase his God-given talent to the world. It’s essential for parents to support their children in all aspects, and we are thrilled to be a part of Motheo’s soccer journey,” said Tshidiso.

This tournament was sanctioned by the English Football Association and it brought together various teams from across the World. It offered world-class football facilities at Manchester City’s former training grounds, the Platt Lane Sports Academy. The teams had access to top-notch infrastructure and unique and professional football experience.

Motheo is a shining example of what dedication, passion, and hard work can achieve. His family is looking forward to watching this youngster soar to even greater heights in the world of soccer.
