Crawford youngsters strive for global stage

Martiradonna boys continue to embrace their footbal skills and developing their talent.

Crawford International Ruimsig learners Delio and Alessio Martiradonna have been deeply immersed in the world of soccer. Their journey began with a simple love for the game, but their passion and dedication have seen them rise to remarkable heights.

The Martiradonna boys train rigorously several times a week, honing their skills and perfecting their techniques. They compete in numerous matches showcasing their talent and determination on the field.

They joined the Global Soccer Schools International team tour in the UK which took place in March where they met Premier League player Lyle Foster. They also trained with Manchester United Academy coaches, playing numerous games with other top teams.

According to Crawford International Ruimsig’s marketing officer Lindsey van Boven, Delio and Alessio aim to absorb as much wisdom and experience as possible and their humility and determination to succeed continue to be inspiring on and off the field.

“These boys’ hard work has not gone unnoticed and attracted international eyes. Delio and Alessio’s achievements include making the league team, earning titles such as most improved player, and having opportunities to be team captains and man of the match.”

Both boys play for Supersport Schools, with Delio making the Global League Team for Supersport and Alessio making the Super League Team for Supersport. Beyond their regular training and games, focus on advanced soccer development and competitive matches with other league schools are paramount.

“Delio and Alessio are super passionate about soccer and work very hard. They’re both striving to be good sportsmen, and they have achieved growth in the sport, and have good character,” said their mother, Suzie Martiradonna.

They still compete in the local league with the primary objective of achieving and growing more. However, the youngsters still need to qualify to play in the league for the 2025 season.

The Crawford International Ruimsig family is looking forward to watching these youngsters soar to even greater heights in the world of soccer.
