According to Conrad de Buys, chairperson of the Roodepoort Athletics Club, this race has become a beloved tradition for the club’s family and all runners of all ages, and it provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience their vibrant family while challenging themselves in the scenic surroundings.

“The idea of our event is to attract family and friends within the community and to promote the importance of staying fit during the cold months. After the event, one will be able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee as well as something to eat from the food vendors,” he said.
