Panorama FC take on Randburg

Panorama FC took on Randburg in the opening matches of the season on Saturday, March 2.

Panorama Football Club (FC) took on Randburg FC in the opening matches of the season on March 2.

“This early in the season is where we identify the challenges as well as our strong points so that we can work and further develop our skills on the field,” says Richard Walker, Panorama FC committee member.

“Overall, our players did well, and we now know exactly what we have to work on going forward.”

Panorama’s U13 team put on a strong performance, taking the win over the Randburg team with a score of 2–1.

Unfortunately, this is where the home team’s winning streak ended.

Next onto the field was the U15s, who suffered a heartbreaking defeat with a final score of 2–1.

Panorama’s U17 dominated from the get-go and were up 2–0 when Randburg made a late comeback. Despite their best efforts the home team was unable to stave off the onslaught and had to be content with a 3–2 loss.

Last onto the field for the day was the U19s. The nail-biter of a game saw the two teams very equally matched, and battling it out head to head.

Supporters for both sides lined the field with bated breath as the score was even at 2–2. Unfortunately, just at that moment, the weather intervened and the game had to be called off for safety reasons.

“We are very proud of our players,” says Walker. “It is early days yet, and our coaching team will now go to work on addressing those areas where we were found to be lacking, and further developing those aspects where we show promise.”
