Crawford Ruimsig starts its basketball season with a slam dunking game against Alama Mater.

It is officially dunking season for Crawford International Ruimsig as they started with a nail-biting basketball game against Alma Mater International School on Thursday, February 29, afternoon on home soil.

The game started at 15:00 and the boys were ready to slam dunk to their success. According to Joseph Madia, their head coach, this is their first game of the season.

“We do have new players in our team and the boys just need that chemistry and need to keep training together,” Joseph adds.

Although they ended their first game with a loss, their coaches still have hope for the team to further progress.

“We have a good season ahead and we just need to work harder. The boys need to bring more effort from their side and we will see from there,” says coach Keagan Lebaka.

The coaches both emphasised how happy they were with their team’s performance. They look forward to the upcoming games and hope to see the same confidence in the Gauteng leagues.
